A 24-year-old single malt from Tobermory, the Isle of Mull distillery, bottled at 52.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, and 3,600 bottles were released.
The whisky began as a 15-year-old Tobermory, which then spent a further nine years finishing in Gonzalez Byass Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose brings delicate citrus with caramelised dates, roasted walnuts and plenty of dark berries. On the palate nutmeg and cinnamon sit alongside a salty note, with blackcurrant jam, vanilla, toasted oak and a hint of bitter cocoa. The finish is salted caramel with some hazelnut brittle.
