Tobermory – 27 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish Expression 5 (70cl)

This is a limited-edition 27 year old single malt from Tobermory, distilled on the Isle of Mull, in a 70cl bottle. Expression 5 is part of the distillery's Hebridean Series. The whisky was matured for 27 years and then given an extended finish in Oloroso sherry casks. The nose has dried figs, sultanas and dark cherries with polished oak, orange peel and warming spice. The palate is rich and velvety, with fruitcake, toffee, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. The finish is long, with espresso, oak spice, dried fruits and a maritime saltiness.
