Ledaig Castaway is a heavily peated single malt from Tobermory Distillery on the Isle of Mull, launched in May 2026 in a run of 6,428 bottles. It is bottled at a cask strength of 61.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
It is the distillery's first whisky matured in Caribbean rum casks and Mexican tequila casks, with no ex-bourbon wood.
The nose is coastal peat smoke, caramelised banana, lime zest and vanilla. The palate shows smoky spice, grilled pineapple, brine and agave, and the long finish brings peat embers, demerara sugar, chilli heat and lime.
