Tomatin 30 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured for three decades in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and traditional oak casks. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered, and released as a limited annual edition.
The distillery stands at over 1,000 feet above sea level in the Monadhliath Mountains, among the highest in Scotland.
The nose brings peach cobbler, vanilla custard, antique leather, toasted oak and tropical fruit. The palate is silky, with golden syrup, ripe mango, waxy citrus and white chocolate, moving to almond marzipan and soft cinnamon. The finish is very long, with dried fruit, delicate oak and floral honey.
