Tomatin – Cask Strength Edition (70cl, 48%)

This is the Cask Strength Edition from Tomatin, a single malt bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery describes it as its most vivacious expression, while it keeps the rich, sweet undertones associated with Tomatin. The whisky was matured in a combination of first-fill ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Golden syrup and ginger biscuits come through on the nose. The palate brings malt loaf and marzipan, leading to a dry, lingering and spicy finish.
