Tomatin – Cù Bòcan Creation #5 Colombian Oak (70cl, 46%)

Tomatin Cù Bòcan Creation #5 is a lightly peated Highland single malt finished in Colombian Andean oak. It was distilled in December 2011 and matured first in refill American oak hogsheads. In June 2021 it was moved into Andean oak casks, where it stayed for a little over a year. It was bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or added colour, as a limited edition of 8,400 bottles worldwide. The nose is fresh, spicy and resinous, with herbal notes, ylang-ylang, carnation and eucalyptus, then white chocolate pralines and lemon cake. On the palate come banana split with campfire smoke, crisp toffee and clove-spiced vanilla. The finish is warming, gently phenolic and spicy.
