Tomintoul 15 Year Old Tawny Port Cask Finish is a single malt bottled at 46% in an edition of 6,072 bottles. It is uncoloured and non-chill filtered.
The whisky was first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, then finished in Tawny Port barriques from Portugal.
The nose has cooked fruit and cinnamon pastries with glace cherries, dark chocolate and clove. The palate brings baked strawberry, stewed rhubarb and vanilla custard alongside nougat, candied almonds and cocoa. The finish is nutty and warming, with coffee cake, ripe brambles and walnuts.
