This is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky from Tomintoul, bottled in a small batch selected by Master Distiller Robert Fleming. It matured in American oak bourbon barrels and was then finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry butts.
The finish brings the rich sweetness of PX to Tomintoul's smooth, approachable spirit, giving a sweeter, sherried style that stays balanced. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle and suits an after-dinner dram.
The flavours run to malt loaf, fruit cake, cocoa and oaken spice, with dark fruit and warming spice behind them.
