This is a 2000 Tormore from Speyside, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Connoisseurs Choice range. It is bottled at 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. Tormore was founded in 1958 at Advie, near Grantown-on-Spey, and its buildings are now listed. The distillery takes its water from the Achvochkie spring and belongs to Chivas Brothers. Most of its output is used in blends such as Long John, which makes an independent single malt a useful way to taste the distillery's own character.
