Tormore – 2009/2025 15 Year Old 1st Fill Bourbon Barrels (70cl, 55.9%)

This is a 15 year old single cask Tormore from the Legacy Collection, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 after maturation in first fill bourbon barrels. It comes in a 70cl bottle. Tormore was founded in 1958 by Long John Distillers and is described as the first distillery built in the 20th century. Its listed buildings, designed by Sir Albert Richardson, are among the best known in Speyside. Chivas Brothers acquired it in 2005, and it has traditionally supplied major blends such as Ballantine's. The notes begin with warm patisserie on the nose, followed by a citrus-led palate. The finish is gently oaked and lifted by citrus.
