Traverse City Straight Bourbon XXX is a small batch straight bourbon from Traverse City Whiskey Co. in Michigan, aged for four years and bottled at 43% (86 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The mashbill is 71% corn, 25% rye and 4% malted barley. The whiskey is a blend of spirit distilled in-house and spirit sourced from MGP of Indiana, matured in new charred American oak barrels through Michigan's cold winters and warm summers.
The nose is sweet corn, vanilla, honey and cedar. The palate brings caramel, brown sugar and mild cherry, with blackberry late on. The finish is medium and light, ending in cinnamon spice.
