Trinitas No. 2, The Legendary Warrior, is part of the Trinitas series, which pays tribute to the founders of the Hanyu distillery. Sanmi-Ittai, the series name, is Trinitas in Latin, and each bottling honours blender Shimzaki, blender Inoue and former Hanyu president Mr. Akuto. Hanyu was built by the Akuto family in 1941, and the family obtained a licence to produce alcohol in 1946. They had been in the brewing business since the 1600s, and a taste for Scottish single malts led them to make Japanese single malts. The distillery closed in 2000.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
