Tsunuki – 2017 Single Cask #124 (2021 Release)

This is a single cask whisky from the Tsunuki Distillery, a 2017 cask number 124 released in 2021. It keeps the freshness and floral character associated with the distillery, with a gentle peat that sits alongside them. On the nose there is pepper, cinnamon and liquorice, with a touch of oiliness and oak cake. The palate is busy, with candied lemon, iris, bacon fat, gooseberry and vanilla pod. The finish brings fresh herbs, including sage and verbena, with soft peat smoke.
