An 18 year old Irish single malt from Tullamore D.E.W., in a 750ml bottle at 41.3% ABV. The name comes from the initials of an early owner, Daniel E Williams, and the whiskey was first distilled in 1829 in the town of Tullamore, County Offaly.
The nose is rich and oaky, with deep malt, caramelised fruit and woody spice. The palate is velvety and mellow, with vanilla oak, cinnamon, baked apple, toasted marshmallow and a biscuit sweetness. The finish is rich and warming, with a lingering malty sweetness.
