Tullamore Dew 18 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt, bottled at 41.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is the brand's oldest single malt, matured for 18 years in ex-bourbon barrels.
After maturation it was finished for at least six months in Oloroso sherry butts, Port pipes and Madeira drums, adding sherry fruit, Port richness and Madeira sweetness over the malt.
The nose is smooth and mellow, with cinnamon, apple and vanilla oak. On the palate come caramelised fruit, rich oak and baked apple, leading to a warming finish of malty sweetness, cinnamon and biscuit.
