This is a 1976 Tullibardine, released in 2008 at 32 years old as part of the distillery's Vintage Edition series. It comes from a single hogshead, cask 3158, and was bottled at 46%.
The nose is rich and sweet, with orange marmalade, milk chocolate and melted butter, then menthol, hazelnuts and a touch of rose water. Tobacco, olive oil and sherry-soaked wood sit underneath.
On the palate it is full-bodied and oily, with a warming sherry influence, dark fruits, toffee and spiced nuts. The finish is long, with cocoa, dried orange peel and a little oak spice.
