This is a Highland single malt from Tullibardine, a distillery dating back to 1949, selected and bottled by Murray McDavid. It is bottled at 44.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was first matured in oak casks and then finished in sherry casks, using the bottler's Craft Finishing approach.
The nose is sweet malt with dried fruits from the sherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oak and a little vanilla. The palate is rich, with sweet barley, raisins, dark chocolate and baking spices, along with honey and toasted nuts. The finish is medium to long, with dried fruit, light oak and warming spice that fades to a gentle sweetness.
