This is a blended Scotch whisky from Turntable Spirits, the label begun by brothers Alasdair and Gordon Stevenson. It combines malt from GlenAllachie, Balblair, BenRiach and Knockdhu with North British grain whisky, which makes up 19% of the blend.
The casks are varied. Knockdhu, the largest part at 30%, comes from a first-fill oloroso sherry butt. GlenAllachie (21%) was aged in first-fill ex-Woodford barrels, BenRiach (16%) in first-fill bourbon barrels, Balblair (14%) in Limousin oak XO octaves and North British in bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The tasting notes describe apple crumble with raisins and walnuts coated in custard, followed by cinnamon and cocoa in a long finish.
