Turntable Spirits Track 08 'Black Betty'

Black Betty is Track 08 from Turntable Spirits, a fruity Speyside-style blend of whiskies from five distilleries, with a hint of Islay smoke. The parts come from a Glenslossie hogshead, Balmenach from a first-fill rye barrel, Caol Ila from a virgin oak barrel, Glen Moray from a second-fill bourbon barrel, and Loch Lomond. The whiskies were married and finished in ruby port hogsheads for 20 months, then bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. Glenslossie contributes lemon drizzle cake, Balmenach marmalade and ginger, and Caol Ila the smoke, with notes of burning marshmallows. Glen Moray supplies most of the summer fruits, and Loch Lomond adds toasted nuts.
