Turntable Spirits Unplugged Blended Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Unplugged is a blended Scotch whisky from Turntable Spirits, a blending house in Glasgow founded by brothers Alasdair and Gordon Stevenson. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. More than 80% of the blend is malt whisky, mainly Linkwood, Ballindalloch and Benrinnes matured in first and second-fill bourbon casks. A small amount of peated Ledaig adds smoke, and grain whisky from sherry casks gives a darker note. The nose offers ripe pear and apple with vanilla, honey and soft blossom, with peat smoke in the background. On the palate are apple, pear and baked apricot with creamy vanilla, honey and toffee. The finish is medium, with caramel, gentle smoke and oak spice.
