Two Stacks The First Cut is a blended Irish whiskey bottled at 43%. It is built from five components: single grain from virgin oak (40%), single grain from bourbon casks (40%), pot still from oloroso sherry butts (8%), double-distilled malt from bourbon casks (10%) and peated malt from bourbon casks (2%).
The nose has vanilla from the virgin oak, honey and a fruity note from the sherry. The palate is balanced, with grain sweetness, spice from the pot still and a quiet smoky undertone. The finish is long, with sweet and spicy elements and a tannic grip from the virgin oak.
