Valdespino Vermouth Origin (75cl, 15%)

Valdespino Vermouth Origin is a red vermouth that grew out of the long collaboration between the sherry house Valdespino in Jerez and the Scottish whisky producer The Macallan. The Macallan has long matured much of its whisky in Valdespino's used sherry casks. Here the arrangement runs the other way: the vermouth is aged in used Macallan whisky casks. As is usual for vermouth, the wine is infused with herbs, fruits and spices, and a little Moscatel sherry adds a citrus note. It is soft and round in style, in a 75cl bottle at 15% vol.
