Vat 69 is a blended Scotch whisky at 40% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was created in 1882 by blender William Sanderson, who mixed more than 100 blends and had expert friends taste them all. He chose blend number 69, which gave the whisky its name. Vat refers to the tub in which the components are married.
The malt content is high, at 35%, and the main malts are Clynelish, Linkwood and Dailuaine.
