VAT 69 is a blended Scotch whisky in a 1 litre bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It was the flagship blend of William Sanderson & Son Ltd, a company later absorbed into DCL, now Diageo.
The traditional heart of the blend was Glen Garioch, a Highland malt that was once smoky. The current recipe includes some 40 malts and grains.
The style is light and well balanced, with a vanilla sweetness.
