Vecchio Amaro del Capo Red Hot Caffo (70cl)

A special edition amaro made from a secret recipe using 29 botanicals gathered in Calabria. Ingredients include anise seed, citrus peel, orange and chamomile flowers, liquorice, juniper berries, peppermint and red chilli pepper. Each botanical is macerated and infused individually in alcohol soon after harvest. The amaro is blended, reduced with pure natural water and sweetened with sugar syrup. It is suited to those who enjoy strong flavours, with the decided character of Calabrian chilli pepper. In the glass it shows an intense, bright ruby red colour. The bouquet is complex, with soft spices, bitter orange peel and mandarin. On the palate it is enveloping and rich, with a pleasantly spicy chilli note and a long, persistent finish.
