A Kentucky bourbon from Very Olde St Nick, in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of Kentucky bourbon and Indiana rye whiskeys, with the stock aged between four and seven years.
The whiskey was finished in maple syrup barrels and French oak staves, which give the Winter Maple its name.
Maple runs through the tasting notes. The nose combines maple syrup and maple sugar candy with sweet oak, cinnamon, caramel and baking chocolate. The palate is very sweet, with graham cracker, cola syrup and gingerbread. The finish brings cinnamon spice, prune and cocoa powder, and a lingering sugary maple aftertaste.
