This is a 2001 Bas Armagnac from Veuve Goudoulin, light and bright gold in the glass.
The nose is fairly complex, opening with citrus tea before moving to woody vanilla. On the palate it is pleasant and balanced, with an attack that is slightly assertive for its age. Orange peel runs through to the finish, along with a hint of musk.
