Veuve Goudoulin 50 Ans is a Bas-Armagnac blended from two armagnacs, the younger of which is 50 years old. It comes in a wooden box.
The house was founded in 1935 by Jeanne Goudoulin, who already held a large collection of armagnac built up by herself and earlier generations. The spirit is distilled from white wines in a continuous armagnac still, using Baco Noir and Ugni Blanc, then aged in local oak, which gives the amber-orange colour.
The nose shows candied orange and raisins. The palate is fresh, sweet and soft, with hints of almonds and toast.
