Viña Marro Blanco Rioja

A white Rioja made from 100% Garnacha Blanca from vines around 25 years old. After hand-picking and careful sorting, the grapes are transported to the winery under cool conditions and pressed immediately. Cool fermentation is followed by seven days of maceration on the lees, then four months of ageing in a combination of 60% American and 40% European oak barrels, half of them new. The nose shows a fresh, floral character with acacia blossom and violet, plus richer notes of light plum and ripe apricot. The palate is dry and slightly spicy, with classic Garnacha Blanca notes of peach and apricot and good minerality, finishing long, fresh and delicate with subtle, slightly exotic oak tones.
