Viña Marro Ecological 2020 is a red Rioja. The grapes come from parcels aged 15 to 35 years on stony soils of clay and limestone. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation, then six months in American and French oak and eight months in bottle before shipping. It is bright ruby red, with aromas of ripe red berries, cherry, raspberry and redcurrant, plus light toasted and vanilla notes from the oak; the palate is harmonious, full and structured, with silky tannins, balanced acidity and a light mineral tone.
