This is a single malt Irish whiskey from Waterford Distillery, part of its Single Farm Origin collection. It is made from 100% Irish malted barley grown at the Ballykilcavan farm in County Laois, and bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The casks are 45% first-fill American oak, 28% French oak and 27% ex Vin Doux Naturel fortified wine casks. It is made without added colouring. The nose offers ripe redcurrants, freshly cut grass and a hint of cinnamon. The palate has layers of succulent fruit and balanced spice, followed by a smooth, lingering finish.
