Lakefield 1.1 is the first release in Waterford's Single Farm Origin range, an Irish single malt bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is made with Irina malted barley harvested in 2016 at Lakefield Farm in Co. Laois. The whiskey spent three and a half years in first-fill virgin US and French oak casks. It is free from colouring and chill-filtration. Apple crumble, stewed rhubarb and clove come through on the palate, with hints of baking bread, chocolate and warm custard. The flavours linger in the finish.
