Peated Lacken is a single malt from Waterford in Ireland, made with barley from the Waterford area. Its smoky character is unusual for an Irish whisky. It matured in oak casks that previously held wine, which adds dried fruit, vanilla and a little spice. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers wood smoke, herbs and a touch of honey. On the palate the peat is present without dominating, balanced by malty sweetness and a soft, warm texture.
