Released in 2020, this whisky is part of the second batch of the distillery’s single malt releases and is one of the 10 000 bottles available. It was distilled using the barley that was grown and harvested by Stephen and Andrew McDonnell. Their family farmed the territory of the fertile flood of the Barrow River at the Ratheadon farm in Carlow for 5 decades.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Fresh. Flower meadow and malty notes along with sweet chocolate and vanilla aromas

Palate

Powerful. Light spicy notes followed by caramel and vanilla sweetness with nutty hints. The palate is also accompanied by fruity notes

Finish

Long and sweet
