Watt Whisky North British 1991 32 Year Old (70cl, 50.1%)

This is a 32 year old single grain Scotch whisky from North British Distillery, distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2023 by the independent bottler Watt Whisky. It is a single cask bottling at a cask strength of 50.1%, with 102 bottles in the outturn, uncoloured and non-chill-filtered. The nose has honeycomb, golden syrup, walnut oil, polished oak and vanilla, with softer notes of whipped cream, banana and coconut. The palate is rich and layered, with honey, black pepper and syrup, then beeswax, candied orange, vanilla and liquorice, and peach emerges with time. The finish is long, fruity and lightly sweet, with lingering vanilla.
