Westland Beer Cask Finish is an American single malt from the Westland distillery in Seattle, Washington, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It has been aged for a minimum of eight years.
The whisky is finished in a range of beer casks: scotch ale, stout and doppelbock. They reflect the craft-brewing culture of the Pacific Northwest. It belongs to Westland's Cask Exploration Series and is now part of the core range.
On the nose there are dried peach, honeydew melon, eggnog cake and cocoa powder. The palate brings vanilla pastry cream, caramel sauce and lavender green tea, and the finish is smooth and lingering, balancing sweet and savoury.
