Westland – Peated American Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 46%)

This is a peated American single malt from Westland, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. Non-peated malts, most of them grown locally in Washington State, are used in a greater proportion than the peated malt. Westland's five-malt spirit adds malty notes to the peat in each bottling. It won a double gold and 96 points at the New York International Spirits Competition in 2018. The nose is nuts, smoldering moss, flamed orange peel and roasted plantains. The palate brings campfire, iodine, roasted pistachios and green herbs.
