Westland Sherry Wood is an American single malt whiskey in a 70cl bottle. It spends two years in casks that once held Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry, together with new American oak barrels.
On the nose it opens with oats and raisins in a sweet, honeyed style, followed closely by maple syrup over banana flapjacks. With time in the glass the sweet and baked notes grow darker and richer, and the palate gives way to stewed yellow fruit at the finish.
