Westland Beer Cask Finish is an American single malt bottled at 46% ABV, with a minimum maturation of 8 years. It was released in August 2024 in an outturn of 10,950 bottles.
The finish draws on the craft brewing tradition of the Pacific Northwest, using saison, stout, scotch ale and doppelbock casks. The aim is a bright, fresh whisky with a malty character.
The nose brings dried peach, honeydew melon, eggnog cake and cocoa powder. On the palate come vanilla pastry cream, caramel sauce and lavender green tea.
