This is Westport 18 Year Old, a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled by Wilson & Morgan, in a 70cl bottle. Long maturation in sherry casks gives it a deep reddish colour.
The nose is winey and nutty, with raisins and chestnut honey. On the palate it is round and raisiny, with peppery tannins, and juicy cherries, strawberries and dried plums with a lively acidity. The finish turns slightly more tannic and tight, yet stays smooth.
