Westward American Single Malt Stout Cask is an Oregon single malt finished for one year in casks that previously held stout.
The finish grows out of a cask-trading tradition among beer producers in the Northwest. The distillery passes its freshly emptied barrels to brewers in and around the region, who season them with stout before returning them. The whiskey is a nod to Oregon's brewing culture.
