This is Milestone Edition No. 4 from Westward, an American single malt made in Oregon and bottled at 57% ABV (114 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The label carries the phrase "Legacy in the Making" and describes the whiskey as slow proofed in casks.
It comes in a faceted decanter with a copper-toned closure.
The nose is rich malt, caramelised sugar and vanilla, with dark fruit, toasted oak and baking spice. The palate is full-bodied, with toasted malt, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, oak and spice. The finish is long and warming, with malt sweetness, oak, spice and rich fruit.
