Whiskey Row Straight Bourbon is a straight bourbon from Whiskey Row Distillers, named after the stretch of iron-clad warehouses on the Louisville riverbank. The recipe follows the eighteenth-century practice of early settlers, who used only corn, rather than the mix of corn, rye or wheat and malted barley common in bourbon today. The corn is grown in the Ohio Valley, and the spirit is matured in new charred oak barrels. It is described as sweet and crisp, with vanilla and caramel taken from the charred oak.
