Black Cat Bone is a 12-year-old Benrinnes single malt from Batch 2 of Whisky of Voodoo, bottled by Brave New Spirits at a cask strength of 54.1%. It was matured in first-fill Tawny Port barriques, which give its light fruit, honey and dark chocolate a winey side. The batch is 837 bottles, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.
Dark red fruits, berries and cherries open the nose, with fine spices, a warehouse aroma, then honey and cloves. The palate is soft at first, with red fruit turning to dark chocolate before a strong, peppery spice. The finish is warming and long.
