The Renegade Cultist is an 11-year-old Blair Athol single malt from the Highlands, bottled at cask strength by Brave New Spirits as part of its Whisky of Voodoo series.
The nose is full and powerful, with blackcurrant, cherries and black ginger. On the palate come fresh forest berries and a light acidity, followed by plenty of dark fruit. A little star anise lingers in the finish.
