Wild Turkey – 101 (70cl, 50.5%)

Wild Turkey 101 is a Kentucky-style bourbon and the flagship of the Wild Turkey brand, bottled at 101 proof (50.5%) in a 70cl bottle. It is distilled at a low proof so that the barrel flavours are carried through maturation. It leaves the barrel at around 109 proof and needs only slight dilution before bottling, so it stays close to the strength it had in the cask. The barrels are given a number 4 char, the heaviest in regular use, which shapes the deep colour and flavour of the brand.
