Wild Turkey 101 is the flagship Kentucky straight bourbon from Wild Turkey, made in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky and bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV). The higher strength gives it the backbone to be served neat, over ice or in cocktails such as the Old Fashioned and the Manhattan.
The nose is corn and waxy honey with earthy rye underneath. The palate is lean and almost leathery rather than sweet, with firm rye spice. The finish is long and strong, with a spike of mint.
