Wild Turkey 101 is a bourbon aged for at least 6 years, bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV) in a 375ml bottle. It is taken from the barrel at 109 proof and reduced only slightly. The mash bill is corn, rye and malted barley, and the spirit goes into the barrel at a lower entry proof.
The nose is subdued, with toffee sweetness, toasty oak, melted vanilla ice cream and zesty citrus. The palate is full and rich, with pepper, caramel and honey on granary toast, and the finish is long, with spice and toast.
