Wild Turkey Master's Keep Voyage is a 10 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 106 proof in a 75cl bottle. It is the first rum cask finish in the history of Wild Turkey.
Master Distiller Eddie Russell made it with Dr Joy Spence, Master Blender at Appleton Estate. The bourbon was aged in No. 4 char barrels, then filled at the Lawrenceburg distillery into Jamaican rum casks that had held 14 year old pot still rum, and matured further in a timber rickhouse.
The nose opens with vanilla, oak and fruit, then moves to molasses, rum cake and allspice. The palate is sweet and creamy, with tropical and dried fruit, caramel and aged oak. The finish is warm and long, with chocolate, fruit and spice.
