This Wild Turkey 101 is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a one-litre bottle, bottled at 101 proof, or 50.5% ABV. It has no added colouring.
The bourbon matures for several years in heavily charred American oak barrels.
The nose combines vanilla, honey and toffee with a gentle spiciness and a hint of cinnamon. The palate is full and powerful, with caramel, brown sugar, toasted oak, pepper and nutmeg, plus light fruit and vanilla. The finish is long and warm, with lingering spice, vanilla and oak.
